RCMP Operation Halton results in multiple drug trafficking charges, Digby, N.S.

Nova Scotia RCMP have charged four individuals and seized weapons and drugs following a three month investigation.

In November 2014, information came forward to the RCMP Federal Serious & Organized Crime Unit related to the trafficking of marijuana and cocaine in the Digby, Meteghan and Weymouth areas.

The RCMP Federal Serious & Organized Crime Unit, with assistance from the Yarmouth, Digby, Meteghan and Bridgetown RCMP Detachments, began an investigation that revealed individuals were trafficking marijuana and cocaine throughout the Southwest Nova region.

On January 22nd, simultaneous searches were conducted at six residences in Digby County and one residence in Halifax. Two firearms, cocaine, crack cocaine, marijuana, cannabis oil, drug paraphernalia and cash were seized.
