The RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment Community Action Response Team is looking to identify a person of interest in relation to an ongoing investigation involving the fraudulent use of a credit card in Dartmouth on July 11.

Since June, there have been a number of reports of overnight thefts from motor vehicles in the Heritage Hills area of #EasternPassage. In every noted report, the vehicles were left unlocked. Most thefts were of cash, wallets, and payment cards. In some instances, the cards were used shortly after they were stolen.

Help prevent vehicles in your neighbourhood from being targeted:

• Always lock your car doors, even when you’re parked at home or when you’ll only be out of sight for a short time.

• Never leave valuables such as wallets, cash, phones, or electronics inside your vehicle.

• Park in well-lit areas and consider security cameras if possible.

• Report any suspicious activities to local authorities immediately.
