From RCMP:
June 3, 2010, North Alton, Nova Scotia…….At 01:46 hours this morning, members of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) New Minas and the Kentville Fire Department responded to a complaint of a missing 79 year old man from the North Alton area. Mr. Robert REID departed his residence at approximately 0030 hours on foot, direction unknown, and has not returned to date.
A search by the New Minas RCMP, Kentville Fire Department and a RCMP Police Service Dog throughout the night did not locate REID. Valley Ground Search and Rescue has been activated and is currently searching the area.
Mr. REID is described as 79 years of age, 5' 11", 220 pounds, with short gray hair and wears glasses. His clothing description is unknown. If anyone sees a subject matching this description please contact the New Minas RCMP at 679-5555.
