RCMP respond to break and enter in progress – Middle Sackville

At 11:16 a.m. on Thursday, Halifax District RCMP received a 911 call from a resident reporting a male was on the back patio of their home on Lylewood Dr. in Middle Sackville. When the home owner knocked on the window the male suspect jumped from the deck, which is located 12 feet off the ground.

RCMP, with assistance from Halifax Regional Police K-9 Unit, attended and conducted a search of the area. The suspect was not located. It was determined that the male suspect had broken in to an adjacent garage on the property and nothing was taken.

He is described as being a white male in his late teens, 5-foot-6, wearing jeans, blue jacket and carrying a red backpack.

The investigation is continuing.
