RCMP respond to man injured by fire, Halifax Regional Municipality (HRM), N.S.

RCMP responded to man injured by fire in Beaver Bank.

This morning, 8:25 a.m., RCMP received a call that a man had been injured at the Lost Creek Golf Course.

Preliminary investigation revealed that the 50-year-old man had been working clearing land when he was injured by fire. He had poured some accelerant on brush when it became engulfed and then caught him on fire. EHS paramedics attended and transported the man to the QEII Hospital with serious burns.

The matter has been turned over to the Department of Labour and Advanced Education for further investigation.
