RCMP Respond to Motorcycle Fatality

Release:
Members of the Halifax District Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) in Lower Sackville responded to a two vehicle collision at the intersection of Beaver Bank Road and Pinehurst Way in Beaver Bank shortly after 6pm. The collision involved a southbound Dodge Caravan and a northbound motorcycle. The 49 year old male driver of the motorcycle was pronounced dead at the scene by attending paramedics. An RCMP Traffic Collision Reconstructionist was called out to assist with the investigation and at this time the cause of the collision remains under investigation. The deceased's name is not being released at this time pending notification of next of kin.
