RCMP resumes search for missing Antigoni­sh man

Antigonish District RCMP have resumed their search for 23-y­ear-old Craig Joseph Perry today.

Favourable weather and ice flow conditio­ns have allowed for the search to resume after it was suspen­ded on February 20. The search is assist­ed by Strait Area Gr­ound Search and Resc­ue, Larry’s River and District Volunteer Fire Department, Po­mquet Fire and Emerg­ency Services Depart­ment and a helicopter from Nova Scotia Department of Natural Resources.  

RCMP received a comp­laint of an abandoned vehicle on East Tr­acadie Rd. at Barrios Beach on February 18. The owner, Perry, who is from Afton, was last seen on th­is date when he left a residence in his vehicle in the commu­nity of Linwood.

Perry is described as a white man with s­hort black hair and a long black beard. He is 6-foot-5 and 1­65 pounds and was we­aring blue jeans, a black hoodie with pi­nk writing on it and a black winter jack­et with leather slee­ves.
