RCMP searching for man who fled into woods near Porters Lake

Nova Scotia RCMP have an increased presence on Scots Lake Road in Porters Lake this morning as part of a stolen vehicle investigation.

Officers are searching for a man who fled on foot into the woods. RCMP describe him as bearded and wearing a red shirt and a cowboy hat.

Police are asking people to avoid the area so officers can do their work, and to report any suspicious activity. RCMP say there is no imminent risk to public safety at this time.
