RCMP seek public assistance identifying driver of hit and run, Chester, N.S.

Lunenburg County RCMP are seeking the public’s assistance in locating a vehicle and its driver involved in a serious hit and run near Haddon Hill in Chester.

Yesterday at 5:50 p.m.

, RCMP, EHS and Fire responded to a two-vehicle collision on Highway 3 where one car rear-ended another eastbound vehicle, sending the struck vehicle off the road and flipping it onto its roof. The vehicle that rear-ended the victim’s car left the scene without stopping. The 53-year-old male driver of the vehicle that ended up on its roof sustained minor injuries, most likely due his seat belt usage. He was assessed at the scene by EHS and released.

RCMP are looking for the suspect vehicle described as a light blue Mazda 3 with temporary registration sticker in the front window and an Oregan’s Car Sales rear license plate. The car suffered severe front end damage which would be very noticeable.
