RCMP seeking information about a hate motivated mischief

RCMP Halifax Regional Detachment is investigating a hate motived mischief that occurred in Lower Sackville.

On February 12, at approximately 12:30 p.m., while on patrol, an officer of the RCMP Community Action Response Team from Halifax Regional Detachment observed various forms of graffiti spray painted in the snow near a tent located on a vacant property on Walker Ave.

Information and evidence gathered by investigators indicates that the mischief was motivated by hate based on race and religion.

The RCMP takes incidents of hate with utmost seriousness and condemns these criminal acts.

The investigation is ongoing.
