From RCMP:
Meteghan RCMP is appealing to the public for any information in relation to a fire at a historic sawmill and museum.
On June 8, at approximately 4 a.m., Meteghan RCMP Detachment, along with several fire departments in the area, responded to a structure fire on Bangor Rd., in Bangor. Upon arrival, the structure was fully engulfed in flames with only a partial unit of the building still standing.
Fire services were able to extinguish the fire but not before the building had been destroyed. No one was inside the building at the time, and no injuries have been reported.
The Office of the Fire Marshal was engaged; the cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
Responding officers canvassed neighbours for information and any video surveillance. At this time, there is no evidence to suggest the fire was criminal in nature nor connected to any past incidents in the community. The Meteghan RCMP is, however, now appealing to the public for any information that may help them advance the investigation.
