RCMP seize drugs and weapons after a search in Falkland Ridge. On May 9th, at approximately 7: 00 p.m., the Annapolis RCMP Street Crime Enforcement Unit, assisted by members from the Annapolis Detachment and the New Minas Street Crime Enforcement Unit, executed a search warrant at a residence on Ridge Road.

On May 9th, at approximately 7: 00 p.m., the Annapolis RCMP Street Crime Enforcement Unit, assisted by members from the Annapolis Detachment and the New Minas Street Crime Enforcement Unit, executed a search warrant at a residence on Ridge Road.

Three adult males were arrested at the scene without incident. Police dismantled a marijuana grow operation that was set up in seven different rooms of the two story residence and seized a number of marijuana plants. Police also seized 15 different firearms, that included 2 assault type rifles and 2 sawed off shot guns and ammunition. Also recovered at the scene was a stolen motorcycle dirt bike.

The three Annapolis County men were later released and are scheduled to appear in Annapolis Royal Provincial Court in July 2014. All three are facing charges under the Controlled Drugs and Substances Act. Other charges include Criminal Code charges for Possession of Stolen Property and several firearm offences.
