RCMP have seized a large piece of heavy equipment.
On June 12th, the East Hants Street Crime Enforcement Unit and Enfield RCMP executed a search warrant in Upper Nine Mile River regarding a piece of stolen heavy equipment.
As a result of the search, a stolen Case 580s backhoe valued at $175,000.00 was seized from the property. The equipment had been stolen from Calgary, Alberta in February 2013.

A 56-year-old male was arrested for Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and was released from police custody. He will be appearing in Shubenacadie Provincial Court at a later date.
