RCMP seizes stolen property during search, Cole Harbour, N.S.

Halifax District RCMP Street Crime Enforcement Unit (SCEU) and Cole Harbour RCMP seized stolen property during a residential search in Cole Harbour.

On Thursday, October 29, RCMP executed a search warrant at a home on Chameau Cres.

An 18-year-old Cole Harbour man and two male youths, both age 16, from the Cole Harbour area were arrested at the scene without incident. As a result of the search, RCMP seized several pieces of stolen property and cash.

Eighteen-year-old Dakota Lee Hall of Cole Harbour was held in police custody and is charged with Trafficking in Stolen Property, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime for the Purpose of Trafficking, Possession of Property Obtained by Crime and Breach of Undertaking. One youth was also held in police custody and is charged with Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Breach of Undertaking, Possession of Marihuana and three counts of Breach of Recognizance.

The second youth was released and is facing charges of Trafficking in Stolen Property and Possession of Property Obtained by Crime. He will be appearing in Youth Court Halifax on November 26, 2015.

These arrests were related to several thefts from motor vehicles and a break and enter into a home all of which occurred earlier this month in the Cole Harbour and Westphal area.

The investigation is continuing.
