RCMP Street Crime Enforcement Unit arrest two adults

Halifax District RCMP Street Crime Enforcement Unit (SCEU) arrested two adults for drug possession.

On Friday, September 22, RCMP conducted a traffic stop on two vehicles on the Bedford Highway. Subsequent search of the vehicles resulted in the seizure of approximately forty pounds of cannabis marijuana and a large quantity of cash.

A 31-year-old woman from Bedford and a 40-year-old man from Quebec were arrested without incident. Both were later released from custody and are facing drug related charges. They will appear in Halifax Provincial Court on November 28, 2017 at 9:30 a.m.

The investigation is continuing.
