The Nova Scotia RCMP wishes to advise residents in the Town of Middleton of police training that will occur on Thursday, May 12 between 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.
Members from the RCMP Police Dog Service (PDS) and the RCMP Emergency Response Team (ERT) will be training in both residential areas and the business core of Middleton.
Citizens will see an increase in police vehicles, officers and police dogs. Officers will be in green uniforms that will have “POLICE” prominently displayed on their uniforms as well as wearing RCMP shoulder flashes.
Police dogs are regularly used in wooded rural environments to look for lost people, suspects or evidence. It is just as important they are comfortable working in a urban environment and the Town of Middleton is well suited to provide this training.
The RCMP wishes to thank the Town of Middleton for its support.
