“We had 14 motor vehicle collisions in the area policed by RCMP in the HRM yesterday. All occurred prior to 430 pm. Two had minor injuries and rest property damage only.”
RCMP in Halifax District assisted with traffic control at various locations. Here is a list of the roads that were impacted by storm and required RCMP assistance:
- Lawrencetown Rd Road St. Margarets Bay Rd
- Shore Rd – Eastern Passage
- St. Margarets Bay Rd @ Whynaughts Beach Lane
Unfortunately these washed out roads resulted in many spectators placing themselves in harm’s way from crashing waves and flying debris, which tied up several members for the entire evening conducting traffic control and speaking with people about the dangers present last night.
As well, a roof blew off a structure on Rocky Lake Dr, landing on a vehicle. Both the vehicle and building were not occupied.
