Boursin ‘Dairy-Free’ spread recalled due to undeclared milk
A popular plant-based spread is being pulled from shelves across six provinces after it was found to contain undeclared milk.
The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has issued a recall notice for the Boursin Dairy-Free Garlic & Fine Herbs Plant-Based Spread due to the presence of milk, a known allergen not listed on the label. The recall affects the 170 g format of the product with the UPC 0 41757 02355 3 and a best-before date of August 7, 2025.

Despite being marketed as dairy-free, the product may pose a serious risk to anyone with a milk allergy or sensitivity.
What to do
Retailers, distributors, and consumers are being urged not to use, sell, serve, or distribute the affected product. Anyone who has purchased the product should dispose of it or return it to the point of purchase.
