Health risks and symptoms:
E. coli O121 can cause severe gastrointestinal distress, including nausea, vomiting, abdominal cramps, and diarrhea that may be watery or bloody. In extreme cases, complications like seizures, kidney damage, or even death can occur.
While no illnesses have been reported in Canada so far, consumers are urged to take precautions.

• Check your home for recalled products.
• Do not consume, serve, sell, or distribute them.
• Discard or return affected items to the store where they were purchased.
If you suspect you have consumed a contaminated product and experience symptoms, contact a healthcare provider immediately.
