Regan wishes crew of HMCS Charlottetown a safe journey

Geoff Regan, Member of Parliament for Halifax West, wished the 240 crew members of the HMCS Charlottetown a safe journey as they left Halifax enroute to the coast of Libya.

“Like many Canadians, I have been watching with growing concern as the violence continues in Libya,” said Regan. “I am pleased that the crew of HMCS Charlottetown will be in the region to provide humanitarian assistance and to help evacuate Canadians.”

“The attacks on citizens who have been staging demonstrations to demand democratic reforms are deplorable.”

“We are all hopeful the situation in Libya and the rest of the Middle East stabilizes and we wish the HMCS Charlottetown a successful mission.”
