Rescheduled: The Ark – A unique multi-disciplinary performance in Grand Parade
Thursday, July 25, 2013 (Halifax NS) – HRM residents are advised that The Ark, a unique multi-disciplinary performance that combines dance, music, architecture, and projection, originally scheduled to take place in Grand Parade on Friday, July 26, has been rescheduled due to poor weather in the forecast.
New date & time: Sunday, July 28, 8 p.m. and 10 p.m. Location: Grand Parade
Please note this event is free of charge and everyone is welcome.
Projected images will be manipulated live, transforming an eighteen-foot-high fabric sculpture into a dynamic screen, while multiple dancers interact with one another to create a captivating and evocative outdoor performance under the stars. A collaboration between choreographer Jacinte Armstrong, dramaturge Dustin Harvey (Secret Theatre), and architect Sarah Bonnemaison, The Ark features music by Cory Bowles, and performances by dancers Susanne Chui, Miriah Brennan, and Elise Vanderborght.
The Ark is supported by HRM through its Open Projects program. For more information on Open Projects visit www.halifax.ca/Culture/PublicArt/openprojects.html.
