Residents asked for input to help make municipal roads safer

Tuesday, April 25, 2017 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is asking residents for feedback on traffic safety priorities in order to improve road safety in the Halifax region.

An online survey, available at www.halifax.ca/surveys, will be open until May 19, 2017.

The survey results will help inform the municipality’s Road Safety Plan, which aims to identify the most important traffic safety issues within the region and set out the targets, policies and actions for road safety projects and programs in the municipality for the next five years (2018-2022). Ultimately, it’s about creating safer roads for all users – pedestrians, cyclists and motorists.

The Road Safety Plan is expected to be presented to Regional Council in December 2017.
