Residents invited to celebrate International Women’s Day at Halifax Central Library

The Halifax Regional Municipality, Halifax Public Libraries and the African Nova Scotian and Racially Visible Women’s Network, are inviting residents to celebrate International Women’s Day 2019 at Halifax Central Library this Friday.

The free event will celebrate women across the diversity spectrum in the fields of science, math, technology, and innovation and will feature a keynote address by Dr. Rita Orji, Assistant Professor with the Faculty of Computer Science at Dalhousie University.

When: Friday, March 8 from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Where: Halifax Central Library, Paul O’Regan Theatre, 5440 Spring Garden Road, Halifax

Featuring keynote speaker Dr. Rita Orji, Asst. Professor Faculty of Computer Science, Dalhousie University
