Residents invited to next phase of consultation on Integrated Mobility Plan

The Halifax Regional Municipality is on track to create better travel options for residents and visitors, as proposed land use and transportation planning strategies are being finalized as part of the Integrated Mobility Plan.

The Integrated Mobility Plan will guide the design and investment in roadway, transit, and active transportation infrastructure and services over the next two decades, which will result in complete streets that provide improved transportation options for all users. This plan is being developed in conjunction with other approved and in-progress land use and transportation planning documents, including the Centre Plan, Moving Forward Together Plan, Active Transportation Priorities Plan, and the Green Network Plan.

Residents are invited to attend one of the upcoming public consultation sessions being held to present draft strategies contained within the Integrated Mobility Plan before it is finalized and brought forward to Council later this year. The sessions are being held as follows:

·         Wednesday, April 19, 6 – 8 p.m.| Cole Harbour Place (Westphal Room), 51 Forest Hills Parkway, Cole Harbour
