Residents invited to provide feedback on the Community Facility Master Plan

Tuesday, Sept. 15, 2015 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is inviting residents to participate in upcoming public consultations being hosted as part of a planned review of the 2008 Community Facility Master Plan.

The 2008 Community Facility Master Plan (CFMP) provided strategic direction and recommendations related to community and recreation facility development, and protocol for budget and project development. It’s currently being updated to ensure it remains relevant and takes into consideration changes to Council focus areas, demographics, and priorities.

The review also allows for citizen engagement to verify and validate public expectations and priorities.

You are invited to participate in one or more of the following public consultation opportunities:

Public Consultation Meetings:
Wednesday, Sept. 16 – Eastern Shore Centre (Musquodoboit Harbour), 6:30 – 8 p.m.
Thursday, Sept. 17 – Cole Harbour Place (Dartmouth), 6:30 – 8 p.m.
Monday, Sept. 28 – George Dixon Centre (Halifax), 6:30 – 8 p.m.

It’s anticipated the revised plan will be presented to Regional Council in early 2016.
