Thursday, Nov. 20, 2014 (Halifax, NS) – With the rapidly changing weather conditions throughout the Halifax region right now, the Halifax Regional Municipal is urging residents to travel carefully during their morning commute.

It is snowing in some areas of the Halifax region right now and weather conditions are expected to deteriorate rapidly during the morning commute. Forecasts are calling for a mix of snow and rain over the next few hours.

Municipal and contracted crews are out salting and plowing, depending on the conditions in their respective areas.

Motorists should leave early and allow more time to travel to their destination. Motorists are also urged to slow down, as the roads are slippery and snow-covered in some areas.
