Release:

Halifax Regional Police Association (HRPA) conducted a vote of confidence in the
leadership of Chief Daniel Kinsella. After 2 weeks of voting, the voter participation
was 83.7%.

When asked:
“I have confidence in Chief Daniel Kinsella’s ability to lead the Halifax Regional
Police”

An overwhelming 96.6% indicated that they did not have confidence in the Chiefs
ability to lead HRP.

The Halifax Regional Police Association feels this is a serious concern that requires the full attention of City Council, the Board of Police Commissioners, the Mayor, CAO’s Office and the Department of Justice.
