After a trip of fun in Montreal I came back with a continued appreciation of  St. Laurent Boulevard, and the first annual #HFXBookSwap went off without a hitch yesterday.

Same owner as Scotia Pharmacy on Gottingen is bringing a Pharmacy back to Coburg (@ LeMarchant) where the corner store is. When I was at Dal it used to be O’Briens Pharmacy glad to see neighbourhood pharmacies are making a comeback.

A “cannabis farm dispensary” Farm Assists (say it out loud to get the pun) is open on Gottingen across from the library.

After just opening in March, PvP Gaming Lounge has already ceased operations.

Halifax’s Nomad Gourmet was named one of Canada’s 8 best food trucks according to WestJet’s inflight magazine Up. You can find Nomad Weekdays in front of the old Spring Garden library and weekends outside the Seaport Market.

Mentioning the Seaport Market reminds to say that they have made a rearrangement and it looks so much more open, and its great to have those wonderful windows exposed.

Cineplex will be broadcasting the Game of Thrones finale at Dartmouth Crossing and Park Lane FREE, upon purchase of a $10 concession voucher at the individual theatres box offices.

Kiddietown on Windmill Rd. made a business decision not pay their rent, their landlord made a business decision to evict them.

Pipa has closed its doors, it will reopen later this month as The Brown Hound but the Portuguese theme is gone.

Acadian Fish and Chips on Hammonds Plains Rd. now has a Liquor License.

Hudson Bay will have over 80% of it’s stock available online by the end of 2014.

NSLC is closing their outlet inside Halifax Shopping Centre. Tim’s is closing their Bedford Place spot. 2 things you don’t ofter hear closing.

The old Tim’s on Sackville Dr. is going to be a MoneyStore.

Look forward to checking out Bros Tacos, who will have a lobster taco, next time I’m out at Lawerencetown Beach. They are at Happy Dudes Surf Emporium. Pairing up with Dudes takeout.

1Year ago: SugaRush opened in Sackville, and London Loft, Bargain Shop on Young and PepperJacks in Rockingham closed.

That’s it for this week I’m of to Alberta for a couple weeks but will still be updating when I can.
