Richmond County RCMP respond to submerged vehicle in Cleveland, Cleveland, N.S.

Richmond County RCMP responded to a call of a vehicle reported to have gone off County Line Road into the Lower River.

Today at approximately 5:10 p.m., Richmond County RCMP, EHS, West Bay Volunteer fire department responded to a vehicle that went into the water of Lower River in Cleveland.

Preliminary investigation determined the vehicle had gone through the ice and was completely submerged when first responders arrived.

The RCMP Underwater Recovery Team will be attending the scene to assist in the recovery of the vehicle and investigation.

RCMP are unable to confirm the numbers of occupants at this time as the matter is still under investigation.
