Wednesday, July 8, 2015 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that a section of Richmond Street in Halifax will be closed to vehicles starting Thursday, July 9, to facilitate the installation of a new watermain in the area.

Starting at 7 a.m. Thursday, Richmond will close between Barrington Street and Devonshire Avenue. This closure is expected to be in place until about Aug. 7, however, the street will reopen every night at about 7 p.m.

Motorists are advised to use alternative routes while this closure is in place. Crews will accommodate local traffic only. The municipality regrets any inconvenience this work or the closure may cause.
