Road closure: Agricola Street and area

Residents and motorists in Halifax are being alerted to upcoming closures affecting Agricola Street, Sarah Street, and Harris Street from Thursday, December 14 to Friday, December 15, between 3 p.m. and 1 a.m.

The closure on Agricola Street, between West Street and Woodill Street, will involve both the road and the sidewalk on the east side. This is to accommodate necessary construction activities in the area.

Additionally, Sarah Street will be impacted between Moran Street and Agricola Street, as well as Harris Street between Maynard Street and Agricola Street. These closures are part of a coordinated effort to improve infrastructure and ensure public safety during the construction process.

During these times, local and emergency access to all areas will be maintained, but general traffic flow will be disrupted. Motorists and pedestrians should expect detours and are advised to plan their routes accordingly.

A signed detour route will be in place to guide traffic around the closed sections of Agricola Street, Sarah Street, and Harris Street. Traffic personnel will also be present to assist with navigation and ensure a smooth flow of vehicles and pedestrians around the construction zones.

Motorists are encouraged to use alternative routes to avoid delays.
