Friday, June 27, 2014 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that a number of streets in downtown Dartmouth will be closed this weekend for the EPIC Dartmouth 5K, 10K, triathlon and Iron Man competitions.

Hawthorne Street between Crichton Avenue and Prince Albert Road, and Prince Albert Road from Hawthorne to Sinclair Street will be closed from 7-11 a.m. on Saturday, June 28, for the 5K and 10K races. There will also be a lane drop through Graham’s Grove and Prince Albert Road as motorists approach the closed section of the street.

Prince Albert Road from Hawthorne Street to Sinclair Street will be closed from 5 a.m. to midnight on Sunday, June 29, for the triathlon and Iron Man competitions.

Residents are advised that there will be Special Event parking restrictions in place during the EPIC Dartmouth events and vehicles will be towed if necessary.
