Road Construction/Road Closure – Cow Bay Road

Monday, August 12, 2013 (Halifax, NS) – Beginning on Sunday, August 25 and continuing for approximately two days, there will be a road closure on the Cow Bay Road at Civic 595 to accommodate the installation of a new culvert at Smelt Brook.

The work includes removing the existing pipe culvert and installation of a new box culvert. The new culvert will have wider lanes and will allow space for a future sidewalk.

During this closure motorists will be rerouted around Caldwell Road and Bissett Road.

Prior to the closure there will be road construction taking place in preparation for the installation of the culvert which will result in stop and go traffic. After the closure, for approximately three weeks, temporary traffic control signals will be in place to allow completion of the project.
