Robbery attempt foiled, suspect sought


Police are looking for a suspect after an incident overnight.
At 1120 pm a female walking in the area of Barrington St/ Kent St Halifax was approached by a female suspect who stated she had a knife and proceeded to forcibly grab her purse. A male bystander assisted by grabbing the purse back from the suspect who fled the area on foot. Although the suspect mentioned she had a knife, none was seen. No injuries occurred during the robbery.  K9 conducted a tracked with negative results.
Suspect: white female, 20-30 years old, 5’0” tall, stocky build, wearing a blue jacket with hood up.
