Robbery in Highfield Park

Halifax Regional Police are investigating a robbery that occurred this afternoon in Dartmouth.

At 4:41 p.m. on May 30, 2020, officers responded to a report of a robbery at the Irving Circle K Gas Station located at 10 Highfield Park Drive.  A male entered the Gas Station and produced a bread knife to the female employee, he told her to empty the money from the till and give it to him or he would kill her. The suspect left with an undisclosed amount of money from the till and stuffed the money in his pants pocket. The suspect was last seen leaving on foot running west on Highfield Park Drive. The female employee and another off duty female employee who was also in the store were not injured.

The suspect is described as a white male, mid 40’s. 5’10”,  medium build, white facial hair. He was wearing a ball cap with a dark rim. a baggy beige ¼ zipper hooded jacket with the hood pulled up over the ball cap, blue baggy pants with a white stripe down the sides of the pants and two stripes around the ankles of the pants, he wore white sneakers as footwear.

The police service dog attended the scene and began a track locating some of the suspects clothing.
