Robbery Suspect Arrested

  A man wanted in connection with two robberies earlier this week has been arrested.

 

A man wanted in connection with two robberies earlier this week has
been arrested.
 
On January 17, police responded to reports of robberies at the Scotia
Bank on Lacewood Drive in Halifax as well as the TD Bank on Portland
Street in Dartmouth. In both cases, a man entered the bank and handed a
note to staff demanding cash. Last evening, a Canada Wide Warrant was
issued for 34-year-old Timothy Edward Walsh in connection with these
incidents.
 
Last night, Walsh was arrested in New Brunswick by Codiac RCMP. Members
of the HRP/RCMP Integrated General Investigation Section will be making
arrangements today to return Walsh to Halifax where he will appearing in
court to face robbery and weapons related charges.
