Robie St. development proposal adds 6 more floors.

The developer for 2032-2050 Robie Street has followed the lead of his neighbour and increased the proposed height for a mixed use building facing the Halifax Common. Danny Chedrawe was originally proposing an 18 storey development, but has now raised that proposal to 24 storeys.

This development proposal is right beside the proposed 28 storey development by Armco. The two storey commercial building that is currently on the lot would be removed, as would the parking lot beside it. The developer is planning to have commercial space on the ground level, hotel rooms on the lower floors and apartments or condos for the rest of the floors. There will be a public meeting for the developments on October 1st.
