Wednesday, Feb. 10, 2016 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents there may be some traffic delays on Robie Street in Halifax today while crews remove snow and complete emergency repairs on communications cables and an abutting concrete riser in the area.
Crews are on site now between Charles Street and West Street. The outbound lane in that section of Robie is closed, as well as the sidewalk that runs along that side of the street. Lane drops are in place and crews will maintain two-way traffic at all times. Pedestrians will have to use the sidewalk on the opposite side of Robie for the duration of this work.
The emergency repairs are expected to be done before the afternoon rush hour. Motorists are encouraged to use an alternative route until then, if possible. The municipality regrets any inconvenience this work may cause.
