Rolling street closure Nov. 1 for Parade in Tribute to Veterans and Those Who Serve

Thursday, Oct. 30, 2014 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising residents that there will be a rolling street closure on Tacoma Drive, Dartmouth, on Saturday, Nov. 1, to accommodate the 5th annual Parade in Tribute to Veterans and Those Who Serve.

The parade will begin at 11 a.m. at the Stevens Road Baptist Church at the intersection of Stevens Road and Tacoma Drive, then travel westbound along Tacoma Drive to the Tacoma Plaza parking lot near Sobeys. Following a brief service at this location, the parade will shift to the sidewalk travelling along Gordon Avenue, crossing at Main Street then continuing along Main Street to the Army Navy Airforce Veterans in Canada Hall.

Halifax Regional Police personnel will be onsite to assist with traffic control. Motorists are advised to use alternative routes, if possible.

The municipality apologizes in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.
