Pic: Sackville Fire Causes Damage To Home

Halifax Regional Fire crews were called to a reported structure fire at 15 Laura Lee Lane in Lower Sackville around 6:15 pm Friday evening.

Division Commander Steve Auton ‎says that the fire started in the main living room area and filled the entire home with smoke. Firefighters entered the home and worked quickly to extinguish the fire. The residents were not home at the time the fire started.

Auton says that there was heavy smoke damage but due to the quick action of fire crews fire and water damage was minimal. The cause of the fire is not known at this time.
