Sackville Street – Demolition Work

Thursday, March 31, 2016 (Halifax, NS) – The Halifax Regional Municipality is advising pedestrians and motorists there will be intermittent interruptions along Sackville Street over the weekend while crews continue the demolition of the existing building at the corner of Sackville Street and Bell Road (old CBC Radio building).

Contractors will be demolishing a portion of the exterior wall along Sackville Street. The majority of work is expected to take place on Saturday (April 2), however work is expected to continue into Sunday (April 3).

Crews will be on site Saturday from 8 a.m. until 7 p.m., and from 9 a.m. until 7 p.m. (at the latest) on Sunday.

This work may cause periodic delays in vehicular and pedestrian traffic.

The municipality regrets any inconvenience these delays or the demolition work may cause; however, we would remind residents that these steps are necessary to ensure the public’s safety.
