Release:
SailGP – the most exciting racing on water – is returning to Halifax Harbour on June 20-21, with limited tickets now remaining for the exclusive Georges Island viewing experience at SailGP.com/Halifax.
Offering a unique vantage point in the center of Halifax Harbour, Georges Island will provide fans with panoramic views of the racecourse and the waterfront as international teams battle in identical high-tech F50 catamarans at speeds approaching 100 km/h.
The relaxed, festival-style experience includes round-trip ferry service, casual seating with camping chairs and picnic blankets, a giant screen showcasing all the racing action, live DJ entertainment, lawn games and a catered picnic pack featuring sandwiches, salads, Italian antipasto and dessert.
Limited tickets also remain for VELA Beach Club, SailGP’s new premium hospitality offering, as well as Waterfront Grandstands.
This marks the second time Halifax will host the Canada Sail Grand Prix, the seventh stop of the 2026 Rolex SailGP Championship. The inaugural Halifax event in 2024 attracted a dedicated global broadcast audience of 19.5 million viewers and generated an economic impact of USD $45 million for the city. SailGP’s return is expected to build on that momentum, once again transforming Halifax Harbour into an international stage for world-class competition and waterfront celebration.
