Salvation army hosts nutrition and cooking classes

If you have the next three Fridays free, how about joining a food information session hosted by the Salvation Army and the Mount Saint Vincent nutrition program? The first session started March 4, but I don’t think it’s too late to sign up for….

The New Country Cafe
Featuring: grocery store tour, nutritional information, a weekly cooking class, and sharing a meal together.
Dates: March 11, 18, and 25, from 5pm-7:30pm.
Held at the Salvation Army Family Resource Centre, 328 Herring Cove Rd.

To register, contact randa.sheha@msvu.ca or call 488-3463
Children are welcome, but there is no daycare available.

The New Country Cafe program ran last year, and I remember that these sessions are particularly geared towards people who have recently immigrated to Canada, but I think they are open to all. For more info, contact the Salvation Army at 477-5393
