Sana Hadanomy collagen mist

Unlike the Tony Moly and Etude House products I featured this week, this next brand and product was totally a mystery to me.

I bought this cute little pink bottle at Hachi Hachi, a Japanese 2-dollar store (similar to Daiso). It is Sana Hadanomy collagen mist, comes with an eye catching sticker and tight plastic wrap over the bottle.

With a moisture retention formula, 1000mg of micro collagen, hyaluronic acid Na (Nano), honey and Acelora extract (great source of vitamin C), this mist sounded promising πŸ™‚

Collagen molecules in skin care products are normally too large to be absorbed through the skin. I am not sure how micro is the micro collagen in this formula, but I did not expect the mist to do miraculous things other than a boost of hydration to the skin.

Even with that, it still manages to surprise me πŸ™‚ The first spray hit me pretty hard on the face, literally.

Turns out, inside the bottle is not a liquid but a clear gel, which comes out of the nozzle a lot thicker, nothing near the fine mist magic of Tatcha Luminous dewy skin mist.

And that means patting/ massaging action is needed to help the gel absorb and disappear into the skin. It also means it is best to be used under makeup, not over it. When I am settled with that fact, I actually enjoy the β€œmist” a bit more.

I opt to use this product before foundation, like a primer, and at night between my toner and my moisturizer/ oil, like a serum/ essence. It is lightly scented, floral I think, but it does not stick around, so I am fine with that.

With the gel texture, I doubt that I could obtain a finer mist with a smaller hole on the nozzle so I’ll continue using this mist as it is.

Ingredients: Water, Butylene Glycol, Alcohol, Glycerin, Hydrolyzed collagen, PEG-60 Hydrogenated Castor Oil, Methylparaben, Carbomer, Gellan Gum, Acrylates/c10-30 Alkyl Acrylate Crosspolymer, Sodium Hydroxide, Honey, etc.

The mist contains no colorant/ mineral oil. The bottle is 8.5oz/ 250ml, cost me about $15. The Hadanomy line also has a lotion (i.e. toner), milk and cream.
