School board candidate for district 4

Just under eight weeks to go to municipal election day. School board members are also elected on the same ballot. In addition to the councillor candidates I posted a while back, I received a note from Cindy Littlefair, who is running for school board in district 4 (part of the OTC area is within district 4). You can contact her through email at c.littlefair@ns.sympatico.ca. Here is a bit of what Cindy writes about her background: ——–Ms. Littlefair, a nearly three decade-long resident of Central Halifax, is the mother of four children educated in the Citadel family of schools. For nearly twenty years she’s been volunteering as both a parent and interested citizen in community education affairs.Ms. Littlefair was a member of the Joseph Howe Elementary Inner City Education Advisory Committee in the early 90s. She was a member of the last School Advisory Committee for Queen Elizabeth High School, and participated in the Nova Scotia Department of Education’s revising of the Education Act school review policy. Ms. Littlefair worked for many years for the CBC before joining the Shambhala Sun Foundation, a magazine publisher, where she currently oversees Human Resources and Operations. She will be available during scheduled weekly visits to Just Us on Spring Garden and Java Blend at the Farmers’ Market. More info on her website:www.cindylittlefair.ca
