RCMP are currently on scene of a missing man near Bayfield.

At 5:32 p.m., RCMP received a call about an overturned canoe at the Old Breakwater in Bayfield.

A 35-year-old male is missing and believed to be in the water. Local fire services and residents are in boats searching the water and the shoreline. A DNR helicopter will be assisting in the search.

The matter remains under investigation.
