Two people face charges after a search early this morning in Halifax.

Patrol Officers, assisted by members of the HRP/RCMP Integrated General Investigation Section, conducted a search of a residence in the 3700 block of Bright Street. The investigation began with an abandoned 911 call at approximately 8:30 p.m. yesterday and ended with a search of the residence at 1:52 a.m. Officers seized a number of marijuana plants as well as equipment used in the cultivation process. Two people were arrested at the scene without incident.

A 49-year-old man and a 50-year-old woman, both of Halifax, are scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court at a later date to face charges of drug cultivation. The man faces an additional charge of uttering threats.
