27, 2014 (Halifax, NS) – Lifeguard supervision and water quality testing at all municipal beaches, outdoor and spray pools in the Halifax region ends for the season this Sunday, Aug. 31.
Hundreds of residents and visitors beat the heat this summer by going for a dip at one of the dozens of swimming spots across the region. Thanks to the dedication and competence of our lifeguards, many of whom are young people returning to school soon, Halifax experienced a wonderful beach season.
The Halifax Regional Municipality would like to thank the general public for enjoying our beaches and pools in a responsible manner, and we encourage swimmers to exercise caution if they choose to swim in the off-season or in non-supervised areas.
