Officers assigned to the General Investigation Section of the Integrated Criminal Investigation Division have arrested two more men in connection with an aggravated assault that occurred on Saturday July 2 in Halifax.
On July 2, at 2:50 a.m., police responded to an assault call on Grafton Street near Prince Street. A 21-year-old man from Dartmouth was located at the scene with facial injuries and was transported to the hospital where his medical condition worsened. Officers were able to obtain descriptions of the possible suspects and the vehicle in which they fled. Approximately three hours later, officers responded to another unrelated altercation when a vehicle matching the description was stopped leaving the scene of this incident. One man was arrested in relation to the assault.
Eighteen-year-old Ky McKenna-Brown of Dartmouth attended Halifax Provincial court yesterday to face charges of aggravated assault, robbery and two counts of breaching a probation order.
The investigation continued and at 11:48 p.m. on July 4, police arrested two men. One was released without charges. Nineteen-year-old Bryce Anthony Brooks of Halifax is scheduled to appear in Halifax Provincial Court today on charges of aggravated assault and two additional charges of breaching a probation order.
