Halifax District RCMP is reminding the public to secure their boats and boat motors after receiving complaints of thefts over the weekend.
Between August 22 and August 29, a boat motor was stolen from a boat that was docked near a home on Highway 207 in Three Fathom Habour. The stolen motor is a 2.5 hp Mercury outbard
On August 29, police received a report of a boat and two motors stolen from overnight August 28 to August 29 from a property on Lakeridge Cres. The boat was tied to a tree at the edge of the lake and had two motors attached to it. The boat is described as a 14-feet aluminum boat and attached was a Minn Kota motor and a Mercury outboard motor.
